Pilsen – the birthplace of Pilsner lager and a European Capital of Culture, famous for its beer legacy. -Republic Square: St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral (tower 102.6 m), Renaissance Town Hall and the modern Golden Fountains. -Pilsen Historical Underground: a 13th-century labyrinth of cellars and tunnels (about 20 km) used for storage and water systems. -Pilsner Brewery (Pilsner Urquell): learn the brewing process behind the world’s first golden lager (1842). -Beer tasting: sample fresh unfiltered, unpasteurised beer in the historic cellars.
Hluboká nad Vltavou – a hilltop gem often called the “Czech Windsor Castle”. -Hluboká Castle: transformed into a romantic Neo-Gothic château inspired by Windsor Castle, with white façades, spires and intricate stonework. Interior highlights: lavish rooms (140+), fine wood carvings, elegant furnishings, art collections, tapestries and ceramics. České Budějovice – home of the original Budweiser (Budvar), famous for its brewing history. Přemysl Otakar II Square: one of Europe’s largest squares, surrounded by Gothic/Renaissance/Baroque architecture. -Samson Fountain & Town Hall: key landmarks; nearby “Wandering Stone” legend (step on it late at night and you may get lost). -Black Tower: a 16th-century Renaissance bell tower with panoramic city views. -Budvar Brewery: tour the traditional brewing process and taste fresh beer in the cellars.
Český Krumlov – a storybook medieval town in Bohemia, UNESCO World Heritage listed. -Český Krumlov Castle: a 13th-century complex blending Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles, with courtyards, museums and gardens. -Painted Tower: climb for sweeping views of the town and the Vltava River; photo stops at the Bear Moat and Cloak Bridge. -Old Town & Latrán Street: charming cobblestone lanes lined with boutiques, cafés and local restaurants. -Riverside walk: the S-shaped Vltava River embrace creates the town’s most iconic scenery and romance.
Telč – a fairytale Renaissance town, UNESCO World Heritage listed. -Zacharias of Hradec Square: one of Europe’s most beautiful squares, framed by ornate Renaissance & Baroque façades and arcades. -Telč Château: a Renaissance château featuring rich décor, murals, period furniture and the Golden Hall. Ponds & lakes: man-made lakes encircle the town, originally built for defence—scenery like a painting. -St. James Church: climb the tower for views over the town and countryside; notable Gothic altar carvings. Kutná Hora – a former silver-mining powerhouse in medieval Bohemia, UNESCO World Heritage listed. -Sedlec Ossuary (Bone Church): an extraordinary chapel decorated with the bones of 40,000–70,000 people. -St. Barbara’s Cathedral: miners’ patron saint; famed for its flying buttresses and murals depicting miners’ lives. -Italian Court: once the Royal Mint and a temporary royal residence; learn about medieval coin production. -Silver Museum & medieval mine: explore mining techniques and the silver extraction process.
