Depart Paris at 08:30 for Dijon, the capital of Burgundy. Burgundy is rich in history and cultural heritage, and is also one of France’s most famous wine regions. Visit the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy & Government Palace, Place de la Libération, and the Church of Notre-Dame of Dijon. Then continue to Lucerne.
In the morning, explore Lucerne—one of Switzerland’s favorite holiday destinations and a historic cultural city that has inspired many artists. Visit Chapel Bridge, Lake Lucerne, and the Lion Monument. Then travel to Milan, renowned worldwide as a capital of fashion, design, and art. Visit Sforza Castle, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and Milan Cathedral (Duomo). Continue to Venice.
After breakfast, visit Venice, the “Queen of the Adriatic.” Optional Venice boat transfer (at own expense) to the island. You may also choose an optional Gondola ride (at own expense) through the canals, visit St. Mark’s Square and the Bridge of Sighs, and take an optional Grand Canal cruise (at own expense) to experience the city’s unique beauty. Then proceed to Rome.
After breakfast, tour Rome—an ancient city with over 2,000 years of history, like an open-air museum of empire and Renaissance glory. See the Colosseum (exterior), the majestic Arch of Constantine, the grand Piazza Venezia, the iconic Trevi Fountain, and the elegant Spanish Steps, where flowers and the Barcaccia Fountain create a romantic scene. Then continue to Florence.
After breakfast, explore Florence (Firenze), famed for its art and craftsmanship. Visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo) and Piazza della Signoria. Then continue to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the remarkable architectural ensemble of Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), with its bright white marble buildings and distinct atmosphere.
After breakfast, visit the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. Although Monaco covers only about 2 km², it features medieval-style streets, royal heritage, and grand hotels that reflect its long “Belle Époque” tradition and prosperity. Continue to Èze to visit the Fragonard Perfume Factory. Then travel to Cannes to see the Palais des Festivals, famous for the Cannes Film Festival held every May, and enjoy the beautiful Côte d’Azur seaside setting. Continue to Lyon.
After breakfast, return to Paris—an old and romantic city filled with history, yet also loved for its avant-garde and bohemian charm. You may choose an optional Seine River Cruise (at own expense) to view Notre-Dame Cathedral (note: route depends on water level) and the Eiffel Tower from the river. Visit the Arc de Triomphe. The tour concludes thereafter.
