Depart Frankfurt in the morning for Zurich, a city famous for its high quality of life. Visit the landmark St. Stephen’s Cathedral, then view the former imperial winter residence Hofburg Palace (exterior) and feel the glory of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
After breakfast, visit Parndorf Designer Outlet (stop may be cancelled on Sundays or public holidays). Then continue to Budapest, the “Pearl of the Danube,” also known as the “Paris of Eastern Europe.” Optional Danube River Cruise (at own expense) to enjoy riverside views. Visit Heroes’ Square, see the fairy-tale Fisherman’s Bastion (exterior), explore the architectural gem Matthias Church, and view Buda Castle (exterior). Enjoy a relaxing walk along the Danube and soak up the European romance.
After breakfast, head to Prague, the “City of a Thousand Spires,” whose historic center is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Prague Castle for panoramic views, and see the Gothic masterpiece St. Vitus Cathedral. Walk across the historic Charles Bridge with its Baroque statues, then visit Old Town Square to see the world-famous Prague Astronomical Clock.
Depart in the morning for Dresden, known as the “Florence on the Elbe.” Admire the reconstructed Baroque masterpiece Frauenkirche, the magnificent Rococo Zwinger Palace, and the neo-Renaissance Semper Opera House (exterior). Then continue to Berlin, Germany’s capital. Visit Berlin Cathedral, explore the UNESCO-listed Museum Island, take photos at the Berlin TV Tower, and reflect at the historic Berlin Wall remains. Experience the city’s unique blend of history and modern energy.
After hotel breakfast, continue exploring Berlin: see the iconic Reichstag Building, the symbol of German unity Brandenburg Gate, and the thought-provoking Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Afterwards, return to Frankfurt, arriving at approximately 19:00.
